Langer's mushroom barley soup with giblets.
Usually the barley soup I've had is beef based but Langer's is chicken rich and the giblets really kick home that gaminess. Might be too gamy for some.
Minami takes on the Langer's Thresher special and rootbeer float!
Thresher special has that famous Langer's hot pastrami, tongue, turkey, and Russian sauce. OMGGL.

Kitchen Faire in downtown LA: tuna nicoise (I learned to pronounce it as neesh-wa) and Cubano ham sandwich.
My experience at Kitchen Faire was a mixed bag. Lemon tea was watered down, ordered pulled pork and got the Cubano, tuna nicoise had olives (I don't care for olives since a martini incident), "yakisoba" was soggy "Chinese" noodle salad, and everything had an overall vinegarry-sour taste which is not to say it was sour-bad but I was hoping for a little more range in the flavors.
Moving forward
Minami now sits forward in the car. Her head is right about even with the head rest of the car seat.

Balloon Vines are growing in at my parent's house.
I don't remember these green balloon vines in Japan but I do remember the orange ones that I would incessantly pop like bubble wrap.

We're easily impressed be exploding Bellagio water.
Minami and I are reenacting the final scene of OCEAN'S ELEVEN in front of the Bellagio. But I don't remember all these tourists in the scene.

Tonight is unagi (grilled eel) night. I chopped up the unagi so that the small bones won't be a problem for Minami.
Minami seems to be ok with unagi (eel) but she's always into popping eda mames. When I eat unagi I get all fired up! It's like an adrenaline rush.
After 2 weeks of not seeing Minami what do I do? Put her to work washing my car. That os th Asian way.
It's amazing what nieces and nephews (daughters don't get paid) will do for $8. Wait do they think that's $8 each for the car wash? Better give'm quarters so that I can run before they finish the count.
