Minami's Chinese lesson of the week.
At watercolor class Minami made a fish lantern for the New Year and learned some Chinese.

Luckily Minami's teacher has patience to teach Minami art - I usually just want to take over and do it my way. But California did good today.
Music classes done, now off to water painting class
Why was the early music class all dudes and the later class all mom's? The only constant: this guy... and gal.

Had to get out of the house so Minami wouldn't fall asleep. Trying to break her jetlag!
Asha Moroccan restaurant is really tatsy - price is moderate to high but about right for the quality. Water infused with cinnamon stick - interesting.
Minami is still on Japan time with her waking & eating dinner at 3am. Good thing I made makizushi.
I was hoping Minami would recover from jetlag by this weekend but I couldn't wake her from her noon nap.

I like how Minami's teacher rated each art piece by "value" as if to put a dollar value to each.
I really like the shoes I got Minami - pink Pumas.

Minami's 1st water color painting. I don't think the teacher approved of me writing class notes on the artwork edge.
