Big rock being moved through downtown Long Beach.
I think this is that big rock that they're transporting to LACMA for an art exhibit. It's about four street lanes wide and the truck it's on is pretty massive. I hear cheering at 1:30am.

Although Minami is taking music class at the Colburn School in LA, she also seems to have an interest in photography.

Today Minami went to Colburn with my parents. My parents will try and take Minami next week while I'm in SF (though I told them if it become too difficult that she can skip a day).

Late start
Minami did some crying in bed last night (probably because she was super tired from her Sunday playing and lack of noon sleep time). So I let her sleep in for about 1 hour this morning. She woke up in a good mood. Weather is cold today.

Minami at doctor
Minami got her flu shot and measles/mumps/rubella shot. She won't need to go back until after turning 3 years old. Her eye drained last night and is getting better.

Eye bump
As you can see Minami's eye has a bump that's become increasingly white - filled with puss. I'm putting an egg on it as usual so I'm hoping it will go away. She's eating the new turkey sandwich from the Costco food court.
Day 2
Neko gohan and mango juice for breakfast. Her right eye has a little bump. Will put warm egg on it tonight. Doctor's appointment Friday.

Morning rush
Minami woke up to Lang Lang. Yogurt for breakfast. Went to school and older kids were very inviting, showing Minami what to do as the teacher changed the turtle's water.

Dr Tosu visit
25 1/4 inches, 14lbs 3 1/2oz.
Immunization shots.
Everything good.
Minami in 25th percentile.
Foot is fine.
Redness and scratching normal.
Can feed other fruits and veggies.
Expect crawling at 7-8 months.
Be careful of hazards and small things she can choke on.
Forgot to ask doctor about wheezing.

By almost 4:30pm...
Minami drank about 12oz. There were some holes in the freezer bags, most likely from me shoving them into the freezer where sharp edges might have cut the bags. Minami's body is officially too long to sleep sideways in her crib. She must sleep along the length of the crib.

A little better but not really
By 11am Minami drank about 4oz. I fear she'll get grumpier as the day goes on and she doesn't drink enough.

Progress
So this morning she drank about 2.5 oz, and then this after noon she drank about 1.5 oz + 2 oz + 2 oz for a total of 8 oz by 3pm. That put her to sleep.
goal
The goal was to feed you 4 oz every 2 hours but it looks like it's going to take some effort to get there.

Nipple Confusion
So I spent 2.5 hours trying to get Minami to feed from the bottle properly and she only managed to drink 2.5 oz. I'm considering a sippy cup to feed her instead of the bottle.
